Growing Battle Over Mask Mandates As Schools Reopen

1. At my school vaccines for COVID is optional.

2. Where I live, people are not required to wear masks in stores or restaurants & the incident of COVID is low. Much unfounded fear is being generated by the fake news media that is listened & obeyed by the ignorant, low intel sheeple, that is being ignored by the more intelligent & aware people, that know what this "vaccine" really is.

3. Masks have become a sugar pill, symbol of unity against those evil republicans, and safety blanket for democrats.

5. Do these parents strap their kids with the seat belt or lock their children in the car seats when they are driving home after that rally/protest?

7. Does NO ONE read the packages? Most mask packages state that they DO NOT protect against viruses. It's all about control! Wear a mask … stay 6 ft apart … don't attend large functions (except for the Dam elite, of course). They just want to see how many people will do what they're told … without any proof or evidence, and the crowd eats it up! Look at Pelosi, as soon as she pushed a mask mandate bill, she took off her mask for a group photo with the other members of the committee … right next to each other & arms around each other. IT'S ALL ABOUT CONTROL!!! (Plus many doctors believe they can cause respiratory issues. All to wear something that most likely doesn't do ANY good.)

12. I live i Texas and we don’t have Mask mandates but everyone wears a Mask at the schools.

    They are not banning masks they are banning schools forcing or mandating kids to wear masks. I actually don’t hunk there should be people forcing anyone to wear a mask or get a vaccine. It a choice. I wear mask and believe in the vaccine but respect others decision not to wear one. I don’t treat them Any different if they wear or don’t wear one. This is America.

21. My local high school had a walkout to protest the mask mandates. I don’t understand. There’s no logical reason to enforce masks in a high school. The number of COVID-19 related deaths in the US for kids ages 5-18 in the past year is 358. In a country with roughly 350 million people, that accounts for .00000097% of the population. In that same age group, 250 died from the flu in 2018 – 2019. If that number didn’t cause hysteria then, why is it now? Someone debate me, please. Make me understand.

22. It’s very sad to see how parents can support mask mandates, especially when cloth and surgical masks do not protect anyone because the viral particles are too small. If you can smell food and perfume through the mask, you can be sure that the virus will fly through it a lot faster. It’s unfortunate that common sense it’s not so common.

23. Solution – Replace all the desks in schools with tables from restaurants so the kids don't have to wear a mask!

24. Confused a little bit – parents fight against masks on children in schools. And then states getting sued because others ban mask mandate? It clearly looks that some parents give zero stools about their own kids. Normal parent will never agree to put a rag over their own child and make it suffer psychological impact…must be those democrat people who rather sacrifice their own to the fire to please the tyranical ones in suits….

27. CDC used to say masks ‘usually not recommended’

    The most recent CDC guidelines recommend mask use for anyone 2 years or older in public settings and when around people who don’t live in their household.​ However, in March 2020, the CDC said masks “are usually not recommended” in “non-health care settings.”

    The same month, the World Health Organization recommended people not wear face masks unless they are sick with COVID-19 or caring for someone who is sick.
    “There is no specific evidence to suggest that the wearing of masks by the mass population has any potential benefit. In fact, there’s some evidence to suggest the opposite in the misuse of wearing a mask properly or fitting it properly,” said Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO health emergencies program in March 2020.
    A study earlier this year by the University of Louisville found that state mask mandates did not help slow the spread of COVID-19.
    The researchers found that “masks may promote social cohesion as rallying symbols during a pandemic, but risk compensation can also occur.”
    In April, YouTube censored a video featuring an exchange hosted by Gov. Ron DeSantis featuring Oxford, Stanford and Harvard scholars saying children don’t need masks.
    YouTube didn’t like an exchange in which Harvard epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff, responding to a question by DeSantis, said “children should not wear face masks, no. ”
    “They don’t need it for their own protection and they don’t need it for protecting other people, either,” he said.

28. We need to ban cars because we cant allow the chance that anyone might die. Then ban bananas because the taste isnt worth that someone could slip on one. Actually just ban leaving the house. The government will take care of you. Life will be easier. How dare you question me when almost every death is a result of leaving the house.
