  1. Wasnt the gun found in the child’s paw patrol backpack? I think this was deliberate unless the child found it and placed in the bag themself

  2. Shame on the news that you guys didnt release the full details of this so now you have idiots in the comments laughing and blaming the mother for her own death. Why did you leave out the part where the father left the gun out and the mom didnt know? You know the part that every online article made very clear. This whole thing is this womans husbands fault for putting the gun on the table then forgetting he put it there. The death is on him.

  3. This go out to EVERYONE who has guns in the house with young Children around. Stuff like this is 1000% avoidable. There's more to having a Gun then just buying one. You have to take on All the responsibility that comes with having a deadly weapon inside your house.

  4. He should have said "If you own a firearm in a household where children are around , please keep it locked and secured or on your person "

  5. How stupid do people have to be?? Gun + bullets IN said gun. Gun NOT locked up. Toddler on the loose.

Sorry but…. ZERO SYMPATHY about the mother, and any other adult in the home who also didn't ensure the gun was locked up (the toddler, however, is another story. How horrible for them.).

Also, we need to STOP CALLING THESE ACCIDENTS. They are not accidents. The adults in charge should be brought up on CHILD NEGLIGENCE CHARGES and lose their parenting rights, no matter who gets hurt or killed.

The gun was 'reported to belong to a man who is the FATHER of 'Shamaya's' children.' Translation: baby daddy ignant folks who pop out NEW HUMAN LIVES with zero planning, no savings, and whose own lives are full of DRAMA and have NO PLACE bringing children into the world. I am SICK AND TIRED of some people treating having children as if it's no big deal. It's a HUGE deal. You are 100% responsible for a totally helpless human being!

  6. Very sad.
Pretty much does away with the gun argument – to protect your home.
If you have a gun it needs to be secured per your state, provincial, and or country's (federal) laws. There is no way someone can quickly get to a firearm and load it quickly if it has been properly secured – made safe – when someone breaks into your home.
Otherwise you run the risk of being accidentally injuring or killing your loved ones. So many sad stories like this….

    Prayers for the family

  7. The whole situation is odd to me. I just don’t believe he shot his mother in the head. He found the gun, walked to his mother and aimed at her head and pulled the trigger? Yea, ok.

  8. And gun-nuts will say… see! IT'S NOT THE GUN, ITS THE SHOOTER…
The fault is the stupid adult's who left it unsecured in the first place. It also shows why letting EVERYONE own a gun is a VERY bad idea.

  9. If I ever have a gun and a kid, I better stash it in a secluded place, without any round inside, safety on, and ofc, in a secluded but still good enough place for it to be deployed quick in case of break ins.

  10. It's a tragedy but I have a feeling she's a second amendment GOPer, and she would have been supportive of lax gun laws.

  11. Too many stories like this of young children pick up a gun and it accidentally killed her parent There’s no way to imagine the trauma if you find out that’s why mommy and daddy are not here anymore
