#Tesla #SelfDrivingCars #Auto
Why don't all cars have cameras that watch the driver's eyes to make sure they are paying attention and not texting or distracted in other ways?
And why don't all cars have lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking and other collision avoidance features?
Teslas have a higher safety record due to Autopilot and better crash worthiness.
Wouldn’t be surprised if when this is over the investigators will own Tesla shares and/or vehicles
Let's take the chill pill folks, more regulation is only good for us as the end customers.
I trust Tesla more than the morons looking at their cell phones crossing the lines all over the roads.
Morons never drove a Tesla they inform you to keep hands on wheel and eyes on road still
No one says how many lives tesla saves. They just want to just spread FUD. Most of the crashes caused by people who were charged with DUI after the crash.
Wait till these things go in 18 wheelers full time this is crazy
More people need to drive using their brain if they have one.
In my opinion Autopilot and the current FSD Beta is currently flawed. I've been watching a YouTube channel "Car Autonomy" that deals with FSD testing. It's worth checking out:
https://youtube.com/channel/UCOO7UoILYqivK7NSunIekhg
Tesla Drivers must not be allowed to fly planes, no no no no
If you can't drive without assistance…get a Bus or use a Uber. These "Auto-pilot" failures just shows you how many variables driving a car has. And using it, makes you more prone to get distracted.
Enjoy your electric Model T's people
Tesla has ALWAYS said people still have to pay attention. This is FUD and a crap story. They "conveniently" left out the fact that some, or all, of these drivers were DUI. This is complete BS in order to drive the stock price down, so the institutional investors can buy the dips and cash in on their short positions. Period,
People need to stop blaming the cars. People still responsible for all those crashes 🙄🙄🙄 like really???!! Wake up humans!! It’s so stupid that you sleeping while the car is driving by itself.
Insignificant number of crashes over a lengthy time span… Perhaps the real goal is not to inform but to mislead?
NHTSA will once again vindicate Tesla.
But let’s ignore ford,GM,dodge car failure deaths
Ford, chevys, BMEs crash everyday all day no Big deal 1 Tesla in 500,000 and
it’s Front Page News, (go figure)ðŸ¤ÂÂ
Easy Fix
hands🙌on Staring Wheel at all time
All just Call it cruise control
It’s so Easy they can do all of this over the air just like a update
Are they counting all the accidents prevented by autopilot? Regulators should be slow. Let the technology emerge and issues come to the forefront before throwing out new regulations.
Ok and how many deaths by people driving themselves since 2018? 38,000 deaths a year vs 1 every 3 years?? Come on guys let's think about this a little harder.
I can’t believe you ran this story without some sort of financial incentive, no one could be that bad at reporting facts
The problem with this is.. How many crashes has the tesla avoided that could have killed someone? Thousands of people die on roads every day due to human error.. Is the autopilot error Greater or Smaller than human error? Its very nice and pretty to say "even one death is too many" but who knows, it could have been 3 deaths had humans been in control?
Yes!! investigate them!! i've always known!!!
Come on Elon , you can do better…
Well I'm telling you right now all of these people did not have their hands on the wheel
Again? Why not investigate the driver at fault? It is not about TESLA Autopilot … Are these news organizations complete idiots? The guy interviewed has clearly missed the point too, that it is the driver that is in control. Autopilot is NOT and has never claimed to be able to replace the driver yet. Get a grip people and stop this nonsense reporting.
I really listen to NBC fudsters. They sound so serious. Did they go to school for that
Still safer than human drivers. The problem is everyone wants to act as if a computer is infallible. May not be infallible but its track record is pretty darn good compared to humans. I hate to sound like a conspiracy but I do find it awfully coincidental that Musk and Regulators get into a big fight over Space-X's launch site, etc. and he blows them off. Then all of a sudden this is getting released.
Tezla
Government launches investigation into Tesla’s autopilot driving system, wondering why only 1 fatality and 17 injuries from millions of cars that Tesla had sold between 2014 to 2020. Government wants to know what is this alien technology that is keeping millions of Tesla drivers so safe.
Enjoy autopilot before it's outlawed
I did an investigation, too.
The Results: The Tesla auto-pilot sucks at driving.
You're welcome.
NHTSA? Are they worth a sht?
Meanwhile, don't drive a Tesla on "autopilot" or "FSD" near emergency vehicles with their flashers on
11 accidents connected to autopilot in 4 years? Is this a joke? That should be applauded! Are you going to bother comparing apples to apples?
11 crashes in 7 years compared to how many accidents a day?
