23. Outbreaks in children will lead to outbreaks in others who are not vaccinated. Children can carry a leavy load of virus in their nasal cavities. Adults who are unvaccinated will be easy targets for viral infections. Who pays for the costs of medical care in Mississippi? Will insurance premiums be increased in Mississippi? Will they be increased in adjoining States due to likely spread? The money to pay the costs must come from somewhere. If adults are deliberately turning down vaccination in the face of millions of other people being safely vaccinated, and they get ill and require expensive care, they will have to pay for it. There will have to be ways for the Federal Govt to claw back or deduct money sent to States for hospital care required for the unvaccinated. States that refuse to take appropriate protective measures can't sponge off the taxes of the responsible States. The Feds should cut funds sent to Mississippi for nonessential projects to cover payments needed to treat the unvaccinated. Or perhaps add an "unvaxxed tax" to everybody's income tax assessments, applicable to gross income. Vax or be taxed.
