Here’s a look at the Huawei Mate S Luxury edition that features force touch. Loaded with 128G of internal storage helps to separate it from the standard version, although all other hardware is unchanged. Force touch is the big draw, which is only available on the luxury edition. The technology perceives different levels of pressure on the screen – allowing the user to complete different actions – such as zooming in to a photo or launching an app – by applying increasing pressure. This technology also allows the screen to be used as an approximate scale.

  1. Huawei Mate S is a bit similar to 3D touch of Iphone 6s.  It is a new idea for the zooming in to a photo and the approximate scale.   However,  the practical use of the features have to be further studied when the product comes out.

  2. that forced touch sucks ! useless gesture. you can see they did it just to copy Apple. I like when they copy and make something useful.

  3. Am I the only one who thinks that this is a gimmick? I mean all the functions here can be solved by basically "long touch" except maybe the zoom feature. Ohh well you have to stay cutting edge to earn money so whatever.

  4. cant see much good from this phone, think they just held back to benefit google for the new nexus 6, I would rather wait or buy the honor 7 instead.

  5. The force touch is definitely too twitchy at the moment in the gallery, and I'm not sure that the feature really is something we needed in smartphone technology. The scale implementation is interesting, especially for a nutrition nut like me, but I certainly question the accuracy. The device does look quite premium though and I would be interested if this made its way to the states. But this is Huawei after all…..

  6. I don't get why people are so angry at Huawei for this.

I think it's pretty cool – it's better than what apple did with force touch (put it onto a mediocre "watch")
