15. Can anybody explain what happened before Mr. Toles started recording? It sounds like Ms. Thornton had taken her dog out to pee and left the front door open, and Mr. Toles tried to enter the building through the already-open door. Ms. Thornton said the key fobs were the only thing residents of the building had that proved they lived there. If he entered the building through the door that she had left open he wouldn't have had to use his key fob, so she would have had no way of knowing that he lived there.

    I couldn't find any reports that mentioned what happened before the beginning of the video, just references to her having left the door open and his not having his used his key fob to get in (which he obviously wouldn't have had to do if the door was already open).

16. When I bought my first home and I was in escrow, I took my mom to see my new home. The white neighbor came out and told me I had to only view the property with a realtor. I guess she wasn't too happy about me moving in. I lived there 16 years anyway.

37. From what I understand, he just walked into the building after she used her key.. Most apartment buildings have a rule where everyone uses their own key for that very reason.. Because if you just let someone in and they don't live there.. And they hurt someone or rob someone.. You could be partly liable for letting them in..

46. I used to live in a gated community. I always stop my car to see the gate closed even when there's another car behind me. If the driver behind me has the code, then they could enter by their ownselves. The gentleman should've step back and enter his code instead of forcing his way through the door. Altercation could've been prevented if he did that part as their building regulation stated. FYI: She's married to a black man during that time.
