  3. GHW Bush was born to a well to do family. His parents hoped when he finished high school that he would go on to college immediately.

    Instead GHW Bush chose to serve his country, joining the USN on his 18th birthday and would go on to become the youngest naval aviator in the USN. He knew he had a good chance of getting killed, and many of his fellow naval aviators were – including 2 of his crewmates. In so many ways GHW Bush exemplified what it is to be a real American.

    I appreciate his service to our country and the service of all who give some and the some that gave all.
