No lie but I could work circles around you as a cvicu RN… and I worked on a critical care ambulance during my career as an RN… we always had lunch plans and shopping plans.. don’t know where you are but paramedics here are limited by state scopes so def command your money or move somewhere that appreciates your skills
U sound like a big crybaby

I'm a nurse and a paramedic too!
All facts!!!!
DAN IS MY FAVORITE
I knew you were a nurse Dan because of the episode were you got the nurse award! And the other EMT'S wanted to watch you receive your award.
I am a paramedic and a Captain in a fire department but I am also an ER nurse (RN).No easy task in keeping competent in three very technical and intense jobs.
Brotha you working at the wrong hospital! I make $41.18/hr as a nurse and only $19.50 as a paramedic. When I'm shift supervisor for our township I get a $3.00/hr bump even tho I go to almost every call. So basically I make twice as much as a nurse vs. paramedic. But my rural community needs it. I get there on average 5-7 minutes before the bus, and can get the story and assessment, so the guys can just concentrate on the care.
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ??????/ $$$$$$$$$
As a person who worked in civil defence, I'm honored to understand the difference
I have a question, so I have a speech impediment and I was asking if it possible to become a paramedic if I stutter
Paramedicine is different than nursing – certified paramedics can give medications , do intubation , intraossious IO , cricothyrotomy , needle decompression, pacing the heart and cardioversion etc .
Dan has a lot of skills it's actually quite admirable
You don’t so everything as yourself and you get a break as a nurse.? I want to work at your place. Lol.
Do flight paramedic make the same $ as ground paramedic?
What's the difference? Paramedics are way more arrogant
Paramedic very wide name , but the real thing about this name it’s referred to the person who study emergency medicine as prehospital and authorize to take a decision and treatment until arrive the hospital by doing for example ( endotracheal intubation , intraossueis IO cannulation, needle decompression, needle cricothayroidtomy and giving medications .. etc he is extension to the ER , but in some countries they but an ambulance nurse and call them a paramedic , and thats no expectable and thats why this profession not known well by the people’s .
I love you Dan and Nick Holly titas Tommy Ted arkady Becca and Keely I love you all plus firefighter and policeman
In CT nurses make more starting app $48k up to $75k depending on BSN or ASN and area. Nurses and Doctors deal with the cleaned up aftermath of what we initially see and treat. EMTs and Paramedics have more judgement and autonomy in field with protocols. Nurses always have to get approvals for meds, EKG etc. In CT paramedics like at AMR in CT start paramedics entry at $25.16 and after the Medic off probation get a 4$ raise to be $29.16.
I love this dude.
Couldn't take this video serious, he was obviously biased towards his medic experience.. No lunch break as a medic?? Dude, y'all rolling up to calls half asleep most of the time lol. I got respect for medics no doubt. Many of my close friends were and some are still paramedics but this video is a joke.
dan you are a very good paramedic you are super funny
Nurses aren't better than Paramedics and vice versa. They are equally important in the health care system. Which job is more knowledgeable is dependent on the individual's willingness to learn. School-wise, nursing focus more on general knowledge of Nursing care and basic medicine. While Paramedics gets educated heavily on Emergency Medicine.
There are EMT's and then Paramedics. Then there are LPN's and RN's. An LPN will get paid more than likely the same amount as a Paramedic. EMT's are just the helpers, trying to get their feet in the door to most likely become paramedics. RN's get paid more than everything else mentioned as they have more responsibility and require higher education. LPN's and Paramedics get paid about the same though. You most likely see LPN's working in nursing homes, but a lot work in hospitals too. You don't become a paramedic or an LPN for the money, you do it because you want to do something important with your life without having to go to years of college and taking out more $$$ on student loans.
I love Dan!!
what time does the ems get off from work
Paramedics have more common sense. However, AMR, the largest private 911 ambulance company starts their paramedics at 16.10. My local hospitals start RNs at 45. Nursing is much easier and safer. Make a smart decision and pursue a career in nursing. Also, paramedics are meant for emergency care and are very well at it. Nurses are more for long term care. The two can't be compared and they both are amazing. Hats off to you guys.
