Put a straw in the tank fill with the nozzle. Try it.
I have a 86 Chevrolet truck flatbed c 30. to fill the tank I have to turn the nozzle sideways or else it will would not fill properly. many times it backups in the filler pipe and cut the nozzle off.

For filling the fuel what I have to do in my S1 97 mustang is turn the nozzle upside down while fueling and then I don’t have any issues

All our work trucks do that and all we do to fill up is turn the gas pump upside down and then it works fine. Try that out it might help it seems it’s a chevy probably
Bought a trade in with 53,000 miles from a Chevy dealership. Damn thing was hands down the worst vehicle Ive ever owned. Endless electrical issues. 92,000 mi the lifter went bad. Love the look and let it sit in my yard paying on it for another 2 years. Cant give it away with the lifter bad so the LS is getting pulled for my drag car and I'm parting that b#tch out as a F me? No FU trailblazer!!! Hahaha

Charcoal canister is bad and your evap purge sucks up charcoal pellets make it hard to put gas in
Vent valve solenoid
On the fuel fill thing you might try pulling the vent line off going to the charcoal canister from the vent solenoid. If dirt gets to the canister from the vent ever being stuck open if won’t vent while your filling up so the air doesn’t have anywhere to go while you filling up so it keeps clicking the handle off. The 5.3 and 6.0 on the trucks we always change the vent solenoid and the canister at the same time, if not it always comes back. I think they usually set like a p0446 for a vent system performance or something like that. If it’s got dirt in the canister at all you’ll have to replace it and that should fix it and it will fill right. Any lines that are kinked from the tank to the canister or the vent solenoid that are linked or blocked with dirt or anything can do it too. Hopefully that helps

Dirty or bad grounds powers gonna find ground that’s what mite b taking your ignition out it would blow your mind what a lost ground will do
had that happen to my explorer, ended up being a filter on the fill tube that was clogged
Hey just a tip I worked on a lot of trailblazers in my shop the fan clutch has a speed circuit that shares the 5v reference and it messed up randomly Causes limp mode. Took an eternity to catch it with a lab scope.
I blew the engine in my mk3 supra racing a trailblazer ss… i was winning until 100mph when cylinder #2 lost rod bearing
Put the pump in upside down
There is a box under the hood that is under the top cover almost against the fire wall. It has a plastic tube attached to it. There is also a grey piece on it. It looks like a long relay with a gray to coming off the back of it. Tube is about 15"long. If not that it is on the driver side by fuel fill. On the frame. let me guess when you feel the truck completely full it does not start right away?
I have solved that pump filling issue twice and i know its irritating as hell first time was someone tried to steal gas from my truck and there is a sort of plastic gate in the fill up tube that was turned sideways which would make it click as soon as you tryed to fill it up fast and there is also a vent on the evap deal that i burned up with my muffler as soon as i cut it it filled up flawlessly both times… hope this helps…
What wheels are on the ss it looks super nice!! I am pretty sure it’s not a vent issue it’s the bend in going in tank keep splashing back my s10 would do the same fucking thing!!!
My trailblazer did the same thing.
I replaced the filler neck out and made sure it was secure against the tank.
first off I love the manvan but having lived thru tbss craze back in '07-09 era these trucks SUCK!!! I dealt with all kinds of
stupid electronic issue's. it was a beast in the day running a 418 w/fogger. best day of owning it was it was when I traded it
in on my wife's 18 Durango R/T.. with the stock drivetrain. . barely broke even on the drivetrain but so thankfull to be out of

And on not taking fuel I found the Evap canister will plug up and course it not to take fuel
I found that the Wiring on the high side AC compressor switch will rub on the AC line and cause your problem with the gas pedal stuff cutting out
I have a f250 had motor truck that does the same shit wont take gas I hate stopping for gas
Everthi g runs through the driversdoor switch had all the same issues your are having Shawn get a new door switch an it's all gravy
