3. This happened 10 miles from me. My mom knew one of the guys who died that day, it was his first day on the job. This really needs to be addressed, I can’t believe so little is being done about it.

7. Pay your respects and whatnot but this will be the first of many like it. The man was fired from his manufacturing job, likely cause being automation. The more the private sector automates while the government lags behind, the more of these types of shootings there'll be. Guys are already trying to damage and destroy self-driving trucks because of how they'll screw up the trucking industry by stopping actual people from getting paid. It just takes one nut case to start firing on others when their livelihoods are being taken without something to fall back on.

20. With all due respect to the victims who lost their lives in the shooting, as well as the officers who were shot. But is it just me or did the company of the employees and the shooter might've had a reason to terminated him which started this whole shooting? I mean, he worked at the factory for 15 years, and four out of the 5 victims were white and the other victim was Hispanic. It's true though he had numerous criminal records previously but how did the company realize just all of a sudden he had a criminal record!? Or, was he terminated because he was African American? Just saying…

33. I’m 22 years old, and I’ve lived in Aurora my whole life to this point. Let me tell you, when this happens in your town, it’s so different. It completely changes you. This is NOT a small town either. We have over 200,000 people living here, a huge mall, tons of shopping and restaurants, and a university. This situation breaks my heart and scares me. It can happen anywhere.
