I'll rather just take a Samsung tablet instead. Then I don't have to do all that crap and it still works great.
Woho! Widgets!
Welcome to 2004 – 2005 😛
Widgets was avaliable on some phones way before Android and iOS even excisted.
Nothing is beating the s7+ tablet.definitely don't want a iPad he sound dumb even making a video like this when it's this is Android central
Yep google everything except I’m watching this on a iPad
I am an Apple fan. I think all of their products are great and I also think Androids are a little bit worse than Apple products.
I already did this in my iPad air 2, years ago
Android tablets are crap, they still haven't optimized android to fit tablets properly. App devs aren't helping either. iPad is the better choice imo.
Nice it can be done mostly for older and cheaper models of ipads
Support length is definitely the biggest thing for me. I like to switch phones a lot but don't want to do the same with a tablet or laptop.
I bought an iPhone 12 pro max for the camera and proceeded to download all Google and Microsoft apps and the experience has been great. Only Apple apps I use are iMessage and the phone and camera apps.
Android Central: "Apple is better, but you can still cripple it with Google software."
Android Central switch door to Apple a few years back. Only thing that remains is the word Android.
Funny way to start. "Android tablet hardware is fine, but the apps suck. So, let's fix that by buying an iPad and using it to run the same apps we hated when we were running them on our Android tablet." Say what??? Actually, Android tablet hardware in 2020 is NOT fine, it is really slim pickings for anything that is not either very entry-level, or very overpriced for what you get compared to the iPad.
buy a convertible Chromebook and run Android apps. Don't buy some overpriced Apple crap
yea but i still need to side load some app which apple doesn't DO
Great video.I've been thinking of doing exactly this, perhaps even with iPhone ðŸ¤â€Â
When "Hey Google" comes to apple products then I'll buy apple products
Why would I ever buy a super expensive tablet to consume Google services when there is a ton of premium Chromebooks out there that are perfect for this?!? I am not going to even watch after the first 1:30 😬
For people complaining about an android channel making a video on ipad, just don't. The tablet boat has sailed and Google has been happy to see it sail. Apple was serious and Google was not.
I was an Android user for 10 years and tried out the iPhone de 2020 just to test if I would like apple. I stepped over to apple entirely. The way that iOS works is so relaxing and almost “calmâ€ÂÂ. In this world, full with tech and lots AND LOTS of distractions, iOS is like a quite island in an ocean of chaos.
So I sold the iPhone se 2020 and bought an iPhone 12 and I loved it so mush that I now have an iPad Air 2020 and the EarPods pro.
Yes I know I am a sheep now but I rather be a happy sheep than a chaotic sheep.
And to close this rant of: al tech is beautiful. Android or iPhone.
Google apps does not equal to Android experience.
This is what Apple really wants!!
Why?
Imma stick with my tab s7+
My simple 6th Gen iPad (9.7â€ÂÂ, A10) does in fact make a good Google tablet. An excellent Google tablet. If the browsers were more desktop compatible, it would also make the iPad a decent replacement for a Chromebook.
I completely agree. Android tablets are not even a consideration for me. You either want an iPad or a device running ChromeOS that just happens to have a tablet form factor e.g. the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. That way you are guaranteed to receive a couple of years of software updates, security patches and new features. You are also likely to have active, focused development from the respective software vendors, whether it be Apple or Google.
Thank goodness youtube has a playback speed control button.
Says he loves android, imac in the background and ipad in his handðŸ¤â€Â
I very much prefer to stay with Android, for the memory expansion if nothing else but I have also been drawn to the iPad for the most mundane of reason- the 4:3 aspect ratio (although I like 3:2 best) which I find is more natural to use.
Intelligent option!
The only issue I have is not being able to send/receive text messages (syncing). I use Pushbullet on my Android devices and it works great plus I can "push" websites meaning if I see an article on my Galaxy S10 but don't want to read it then, I can send the link to either my Firefox, Chrome browser, or Android tablet. Unfortunately Pushbullet is not available for iOS/iPadOS. I cannot find any app that duplicates what Pushbullet does. I really love Pushbullet. Any thoughts?
I do have all Android devices (Galaxy S10, Chromebook, Asus Android tablet). However I did get an iPad because my Android tablet is very old and slow plus my Chromebook is also slow at times even with 4GB of RAM. Sure I could have bought a Samsung tablet and added a keyboard but Android is not meant for tablets and Google seems to abandon tablets. I could have bought a more expensive Chromebook but for extra power, I don't want to send that money as it would cost more than the iPad which will be supported by Apple for years. I bought a good inexpensive keyboard and will use iPad to replace my Chromebook. It is definitely faster, has better screen resolution, and have more options (accessories, apps, etc.). So it was a great decision to replace my Chromebook with an iPad. I have all my Google apps on the iPad so I don't miss anything except for Pushbullet which I noted in a separate comment.
What is a freaking iPad doing on an android channel? -.-
