  1. To that Councilman, who's opposed to this – what have YOU done about the problems? What is YOUR proposal to YOUR constituents to meet their needs? Your speech on the news is useless blubber. Evidently, "the people" have already tried having that conversation and are not satisfied with being placated by gov officials (or just outright ignored). Go right ahead and move your counties to Idaho and leave the rest to dig themselves into oblivion.

  2. Don’t blame them. I wouldn’t want to be associated with the garbage heap in Portland either.

  3. Honestly if this does happen, all it would do is give no hope to the rest of the conservatives that live in Oregon. It will make Oregon a guaranteed Democrat run city for another few decades

  4. The left is so toxic….they destroyed Portland. It's not a matter of having different opinions anymore, the left is literally forcing everyone to live in a sh…t hole to push their agenda. If the rural oregon is not represented at all in Salem why should they stay? Good for them

  5. This is America why would you think 28% of the population of a State has the right to say “we’re leaving and taking our land with us” MOVE!!!

  6. Moving the state line is ridiculous and shouldn’t even be an option or possibility. Just because you lose the vote fairly does not justify you to want to move the state lines.🤓

  7. Thats why i don't vote or get in politics our freedom of relegion and speech being taken from is is part of last days events of revelation earth history is about to end. The mark of the beast is part of the last days thats tied in with freedoms being taken before the antichrist takes over for 3 and a half years

  8. We have same problem here in New Mexico; Albuquerque and Santa Fe has carry the state into liberal directions for years if you look at our state more counties are conservative I would to eastern side go into Texas and west into Arizona or follow us into Texas

  9. As an Idahoan I would like to point out that there are many reasons not to do this. Just because you don't like the current president is not a reason to join a state that doesn't care about helping anyone other then big business.

  10. Why is this even a news story? Quit normalizing these these pitiful lost souls. They do realize they are standing on stolen land, right? I guess they are too lazy and unskilled to get up and actually move to Idaho. And they wonder why they are getting left behind?

  11. Can’t blame them. Portland is a true Democratic cesspool. I wouldn’t set foot there.

  12. There are very little of you, get over it. Why would a few sparsely populated areas producing no money for the state have the day of the larger populated city centers which produce for the state. You bubba gump laborers need to stop watching so much Fox News, Newsmax or whatever you fools listen to.

  13. Clay must be a Democrat believing that people should work together as long as their getting their way but the moment thing don't go their way they will be the fire one to run away.

Yeah I wouldn't want to work together with someone who just doesn't listen to anything for 40 years at least but once I mention leaving they suddenly want to work together by saying " this is how YOU are going to do things, we are in charge and you do what we tell you to do and we all call it compromising

  14. Many liberal minded folks also live in the rural areas. Many are moving rural not for political but for aesthetic reasons. They may overtake the voting blocs in time, then the whole mess can become part of the moon.

  15. At the end of the day majority should rule in elections. I've heard the argument and or issue in this video from both sides. Remember California breaking away from the union and all of that noise after the 2016 election? We all need to work on losing more gracefully and winning more gracefully for that matter. Try to understand opposing political ideologies and don't write someone off as crazy if they don't believe what you do. There is room in this country and government for more than one political approach.

  16. Yes look at " His liberal Democratic perspective". Like California, all the political power is constipated in a very small coastal area, the rest of the State voted Trump.

  17. It’s ironic to here a white man complain about his way of life threatened. Anyone consider the rights of indigenous people?

  18. That council member doesn’t get it. This isn’t about parties, it’s about representation in government. Those counties are left out of the decision making and they’re sick of paying taxes to fund policies they have no say in.

  19. Texas should break up into five states. Upstate NY wants to be a new state. California should be its own country.

In other news, the babies are crying and the rain falling. Boo fucking hoo. Every few years these types of stories come up and it's like watching toddlers throw a temper tantrum over something they can't control
