Get some plastic fold out saw horses to work on….your back will thank you.
I liked that kind of diffuser when playing nfsu2. And i was 14.
BTW if your primer is not sanding very Well and gumming the sandpaper up etc switch to wet flatting this will help a lot and will make it a lot easier OK!!!
Almost seen the hole 240z build in like twee weeks. Great job! Greetings from Holland!
Geez, the mains are just as likely?
The rear end of this car without a bumper is the sexiest rear end of any car ever, however this hideous thing you call a diffuser ruined it!!
Did you smoke that fat sack you found in the Mercedes
people of the plane.
After this, what about continuing that amphibious car and making it good and beautiful and putting an outboard motor on it
Difusor looks hidious
Has 8 days to finish the build….. sits around and drinks beers and then waste a full day with building unimportant pieces like window louvres
Right now the rear diffuser looks terrible but hopefully it will come together once the build is complete
Not sure if I’m diggin the defuser. If you do wind up keeping it I think you should paint it black :/
Uhm… that diffuser… really,its a No-No.
I have to say that I'm not a fan of the square diffuser since it is way over the top. It's too square and doesn't fit the bodylines of the car. But hey, it's not my car so you can do with it what you want

Love the build and the engineering behind it! And I am very much aware that Looks and taste are a very subjective thing, but this diffusor turned this car from a beautiful restomod classic into a riced up "lookatmeeeeee" machine.
Still looking forward to see the whole thing finished and admire the car as a whole!!
I have seen a couple of builds that have made their own diffusers like yours and they really look bad. The first thing I would say to a friend with one on is " how many cornflake boxes did that take" Just get a sexy aftermarket one.
These intros are getting weirder and weirder
howcan 149 people not like this??? chris you aredoing a great job, been entertaing me for a long time, cannot waaaaait to see the Z !!!!!!!
Can you do a longer episode with no time lapse??? Would love to actually see the process of the fabrication on the build, especially the interior.
Bro, FYI epoxy primer is a sealer… That is why your having trouble sanding that door. It's made to seal not sand. 2k primer is what you want to use to block. I promise it will make your life so much easier. Use K2 block to perfection, the use your sealer aka epoxy if your not going to paint it. Yes it can be sanded.. but that is not what epoxy primer is designed for. It's designed to seal. You can even tint epoxy primer and use as a base to save on expensive paint colors. Love the show!!! Just trying to make your life easier!!! Not a know it all, just a 30yr painter…
#bisforbuild how does registration and insurance work for youre builds? just wondering
Any kind soul helps me to find the name of the track at 2.18? Plsss
I wouls have voted no for diffusor but well done. Also please put on an air filter, it's a bummer when the engine blows up.

It's getting gumed up maybe because of the heat from the da sander, try bloc sanding with water and dish soap i tried it it works even on paint thats not fully dry yet, just put a lot of dish soap so that it slips
B is for butcher a perfectly good build with hideous out of place defuser.. seriously I love the build but my concern is first of all that you will not be done in time for sema (which is in less than a week!!!) and 2 you’re not prioritizing the build… I’m routing for ya… but I’m hoping this doesn’t turn out as bad as I suspect it’s about to.
You are crazy
Looks kinda stupid tho XD
I would say paint the valve cover in some flashy color or polish it.
you gotta bring eric to sema after all the work he's put it on this build
That VW GT40 kit car called and wants its diffuser back. Glad i was not the only one yelling at my screen to not cut the back of the car for that thing. I think the beers are telling the story here. Bless its heart. On a positive side i have been watching since before the Lotus and would like to compliment you on transforming your life from 9-5 BS to something you enjoy.
i am from sweden=D
Neat idea: Remove diffuser, place in corner of shop, use as shelf, try again (but a little harder this time)
I love this build, but today B is for butchered…
Your doing fine and it's gonna be awesome! And if you don't get to finish everything that's fine I personally appreciate the opportunity to view the work you are doing big up Chris!
tick tock
