9. As an Englishman now an American, the difference in spelling and meaning of words is far deeper and more complex than I ever realised (sorry, realized). It's not only that. There are huge differences between racespeak ageslang, and even localchat. I cannot understand anything black american youngsters say. I think they like it that way, and as a multi linguist , I can learn it if I need to. Problem is when I return to England When I say the point is moot, the meaning is the opposite. Also you Yanks should reconsider uttering "fanny" in public. It refers to Fanny Hill, the London prostitute and the body part that made her rich and famous.
