7. Parents should stop expecting medias to do their jobs as parents. They once blamed books, then the radio and music, after that TV and videogames, now? The internet. I'm sorry Rebecca but just because you are a mediocre parent that isn't involved in their children's mental health and education it doesn't mean that it is the media's responsability to take care of your children. I can try to understand peoples have problems and some have complicated lives but if as a parent you make mistakes you should achnolege them and try to do better not look for the first excuse to blame your shortcomings on things you yourself have coontrol over and then taking down others with you. That is not how real life works.

Granted companies should not be allowed to do harm but I submit to you that no harm is being done as you are free to patronize or ignore any company including social media companies.     Also, why is it that the public is always portrayed as helpless and unable to control or determine what is good or bad for them and then act accordingly? You don't HAVE to use Facebook, many have ditched it altogether. Are we supermen? Or are you really that weak? If you are that weak, why do you get to employ your Uncle Sam to limit such things because you cannot take responsibility for your own actions and your own life and thereby negatively affect people who can? As has been said before, who died and left you boss?!? This is supposed to be a free country. How can it be free if we constantly force people to act, behave and do not what they believe is right, but what other people force them to do? That's not freedom – that's the opposite.
