All she had to do was soak her hand in ice water. Ever notice how loose a ring will get in cold weather?
Firemen are the best!â¤ï¸ÂÂ
I work at a jewelry store and I see stuff like this at least once ever couple weeks or so. We have an actual ring cutter, fairly similar to what they used, but with an integrated finger guard. Nonetheless, it's a good point to use water dripping to keep the heat down. Cutting off rings is very very hot. Also, the edges of the ring after being cut are super sharp, so it's important to bend the cut ends away from the finger.
Wow, she was so relaxed
Great job. Could prob use something similar to a butter knife under the ring for safety if you had to do this by yourself. I wouldnt have thought about using water to cool down the metal tho
Fire fighters surgery ðŸ‘ÂÂ
WD-40
At least we now know that it’s not just elevators that get stuck in Savannah😂
Great job !
great job by the firefighters
This reminded me of Winnie the P. getting stuck in rabbit's hole and had to wait days for poundage lost. At least she didn't have that scenario.
Done sleep in your ðŸ’ÂÂ
Ouch my teeth are sensitive from that sound 😂
Try windex, sounds stupid but I've yet to find a person it hasn't worked on. I manage a well known jewelry store. It keeps your hand soapy longer without doing any damage to your skin or ring and much easier to clean up afterwards. Also try getting your hands cold. Your hands shrink when they are cold. Your hands will swell from just about anything, water, salt, heat, if you've eaten more fatty foods than you usually do… it's like they're snitching on us for being a little carefree 😂😂Most jewelers won't cut it off anymore as it could be a safety issue. They did such a good job getting that off of her!! I'm shocked the hospital wouldn't do it. Most have special equipment now specifically for this. If you're wanting to have the ring fixed to wear afterwards be very careful where it's cut, if it's pried open the wrong way it can make it not possible to fix or cost you a pretty penny. (i say this after having this happen to myself) Either way in reality sadly 9/10 it's going to be cheaper to buy a new ring than it will be to repair it once shanks are needed 🙈Sorry for the rant, good job boys!!!!
They’re so great!

Rich people "problems"
There’s an easy way to get a stuck ring off a finger. Take a piece of string tuck it under the ring then wrap the other end tightly around the finger towards the tip. While holding that string tight pull the other end and ring towards the tip of the finger and VIOLA it pops right off

I went through this nightmare experience with my daughter when she was a kid and had put on a gangster ring that covered several fingers.
Her hand swelled up badly. A trip to the ER was not even the half of the story. They ended up trying every method possible and we were there for hours.
The fingers kept swelling worse and there was a concern that we would have to amputate. It was a mother‘s worst nightmare.
They ended up calling in the maintenance team and they set up an entire table of tools outside the emergency room door of my daughters room.
They all went out there and conspired together to figure out which tool to use that would cause the least friction and heat. Everything else produced too much heat.
They tried the ring cutter. Fail. They tried soaking it in cold water alternating with cutting.
They gave her a Antihistamine to take the swelling down. I regret that I made a joke about amputation at the start of that journey to the ER because we almost ended up in that predicament.
But we did get it off with the help of the entire maintenance team. I’m guessing they have never been called in on surgery before but in fact the maintenance department had to do surgery on my daughter, in a manner of speaking. Tell your kids not to put gangster rings on their hands.
They do not tell you the stuff when you are thinking about having children.
If windex doesn't work, now u know where to go
She should have given a donation to that firehouse. Nope… just gets up and walks out like they owed her. 😂
Awesome!
Yike!! Great work!!â¤
That's no lady, that's my wife 🚬💣👽💩🚲🎣🇺🇸
You could have tried the dental floss method – if you wrap it around your finger behind the ring (tighter) and get the floss under the stuck ring and unravel it – it is a good method to try.

That has to be the worst feeling I hate small spaces
I would not have thought to go to a fire station but that's where EMT services are. I would of went to a jeweler first,Dr 2nd,and then wherever Dr recommended to go. Which the walk in Urgent Care recommended the fire station. Now we all know where to go.
Great Work ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¾
Wrap string fully around the finger it then slide and unwind it next time.
Why not use dripping water from an ice cube melting?
Take her finger off
Take her finger off Lol
Awesome job! I didn't know for that kind of situation we can go to them to get help.
