Jake the Snake just never really reached that higher level. I never found him interesting and his gimmick was fairly weak.

Whether the guitar was gimmicked or not. The shot he took would injure anyone. HTM was supposed to hit him either square on the back or square on the crown of the skull. He did neither. Now with that said, it is HTM fault Jake became an addict? NOPE! Jake wa already an addict.

You can see that he hit Jake with a real guitar and that he aimed for his head. If he was supposed to hit him in the back why did he wait to swing until after Jake turned around. I also think this started Jake's substance abuse issues. The hit injured his neck and that is why he started pain killers and it just went down hill from there. But thank God he got clean and looks much better now.
