  1. a lot of the deere workers i've spoken with have cited the lack of pensions for new hires as the main reason or at least a major reason why they voted no.

  2. Class consciousness is on the rise in America! The powerful and unbelievably wealthy are getting nervous, so expect a giant smear campaign a la "Red Scare 2.0". Don't fall for it! Keep your head down, keep organizing, strike when necessary, demand better pay, vote for labor-supportive politicians who aren't in the pockets of billionaires, and stand together with other workers, even those who are in a totally different field. The elites love it when a factory worker resents an office worker for having a less dangerous job, because it keeps them distracted from the fact that the office worker and the factory worker alike are both enriching the boss. Almost everyone is closer to being homeless than to being a billionaire, so stand together with other workers regardless of job, race, gender, etc.

  3. Strike. “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who OPPRESS THE HIRED WORKER in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.” Corporate execs are sorcerers.

  4. Thank you very much for making this situation more visible to the public and to our politicians. The power of media. Thanks again.

  5. Remember how well the Harvester strike worked out. Meanwhile farmers pay for higher prices on parts and equipment and let the shortages begin. Oh wait.

  6. Exactly what did the John Deere, and the UAW, expect…a worldwide shortage of skilled/semiskilled labor, containerized freight backed up for weeks in ports-of-entry. The 'negotiated' contract is a joke! Seriously, the UAW negotiators' should be burned at the stake…I got a match!

If Biden imposes a "cooling off" period…

  7. Strike!!
    Get what you want!!
I retired from IBEW for underground coal and our Union layed down and never stood their ground. We have no pension, no retirement plans except 401k, out of pocket was outrageously high, providers dropped from network, mandatory shifts and OT, Union dues keep increasing annually.
If you give in to the company once they will hit you with a No Strike Clause..Stand your ground, they're getting raises and have great pension!! So should you

  8. Give them what they need . They work hard for there money. Deere is not the same place it used to be. Get real Deere and give your worker's what they deserve.

  9. Fire all of these mafioso ignorant. Hire new, NON UNION and start fresh a SOUND BUSINESS!! LET THE IGNORANT LOSERS COLLECT FROM THEIR UNION!!! COLLECT DUST!!!

  10. We need President Trump to act as go between snd fix this! Sleepy Joe had no clue nor any interest in helping! The Biden and One percent plan to cripple us middle class is obvious! Screw them! President Trump needs to get back to making us great again! He KNEW business and his to get things done! Puppet script reader is a huge let down. Bring back President Trump

  11. Record profits but just cant seem to share any of that with the employees who keep the business running.

    Gotta love that crony corporatism.

  12. Lol….. What a joke……Free health care, Higher pensions,More overtime!!!!!!! In crease pay by 20percent…..STRIKE!!!! You don't have to be UNION to realize people need more $$$. Stand up fore your self….

  13. Time to walk out. Let's see how the CEO feels when he loses market share and millions for the company. John Deer is making lots of money. Time to pay up. When company make money, workers should get more. When company lose money, then workers should get smaller raise. Time to walk out. Only when middle class is strong, economy is strong. Rich people getting richer doesnt help anyone.

  14. If you can’t afford to give everyone a 100% pay raise don’t give it to the ceo it isn’t him it’s the workers who need the increase 8 to 16 million who needs 8 mil a year and now 16 I wouldn’t go back to work until the CEO can shove every single penny up his butt because I mean that would actually be a feat unlike any contribution he made to the workers achieving such a great number for John Deere

  15. All the works of the Lord are good and he will satisfy every need in due time. You must not say this is less good than that, for in its time everything will serve a purpose. So now, with all your heart and in full voice, sing and bless the name of the Lord. By Ben Sirach

May God Almighty bless this day hallelujah Amen 🙏🏽

  16. <— One of those workers. proposed raise equated to about a 0.6% raise when figuring in inflation and past raises from the previous contract. Also creates a third tier of workers by removing that pension. We already have a two-tier system with Pre and Post 1997 contract workers. Last Contract in 2015 we lost COLA, and got raked over the coals with health insurance copays. Local 838.

  17. If politicians balk at the min wage, perhaps it's time to introduce a bill that mandates pensions. Govt can help subsidize. 401k and social security will not be enough.

  18. John Deere is behind by the 100s in tractor orders plus they’re struggling I get parts for said tractors. They’re practically stealing from the workers to line their pockets. My boyfriend works for John Deere and there’s definitely a plan to strike unless there’s centered benefits for the workers. UAW is not providing proper negotiations either.
