  1. Eric, I have the same model and possibly the same year element you do. I have what sounds like a grinding nose, but I only hear it as the car moves. But, the noise only starts after a the car begins to drive over 10-15 MPH. Now, I have replaced all the wheel bearings, I have checked the center drive shaft, and the front passenger short drive shaft and I can't find the noise. I have had the car up off the ground, but with the wheels free I find no sound. I'm about to change the rear differential oil again ( I did this about 10-15,000 miles ago, using honda oil). Any suggestions on what the noise might be.

  2. Hello I don't know if have worked on any Jeeps I  Got a 1997 Wrangler no gauges or millage working . Everything else works, warning light and dash light all work just nothing else I've cleaned all plug ins to the dash  all prongs removed all ground I could find cleaned all until nice a shiny and tested them …Any Ideas? Thank you

  3. in the case of the tech schools, it's not always the students not putting any effort in, beleive me there ARE those people in EVERY class…. BUT HOWEVER…. at my school(I just graduated with straight A's,3 ASE certifications, a state inspection license, among other things—all of which was included in the tuition a far as cost, buy they did not help me prepare for any of it) the instructors DO NOT instruct, they DO NOT teach!! they tell you what chapter in the text book to read, then you read it, answer some questions out of the book, just copy the answers over from the book, then take a test and move on to the next chapter, there is NO lectures, there's NO explanation of anything, if it's not in the book, you DON'T LEARN IT! I asked questions( in vain) and they were never answered, I spoke or over this outrage, and was scrutinized for it the remainder of my time there, (didn't stop me personally from excelling) the majority of students that graduate there couldn't change brakes, or flush and fill a radiator, and you can forget about electrical/electronic ANYTHING!(the whole reason I signed up and paid the $13,000)…. the point I'm trying to make is if
, considering ALL the effort i put in(about the only one who did) if the school had teachers willing to teach, I would've came out the other side WAAAAYYYYY more knowledgeable that I am right now, I personally(again the only one in the classes, three different years with of student bodies, to do so) took it upon myself to STUDY MY ASS OFF , and go above and beyond the scope of what was going on at school…. so choosing A GOOD SCHOOL is also VERY IMPORTANT!! you'll get way further if your instructors genuinely care about what you know when you leave. I should also point out that half the time was spent in the garage doing work, where again, the instructors gave no instruction, we basically did what we each knew how to do and taught each other …. very… very… sad!!

  5. The tool(s) that changed the way that I work on my car the most:
    Electric impact wrenches!
Some guys in the shops go ALL electric.
Yes,they have an air-powered impact gun.

My favorite is a Craftsman Nextec 1/4" drive right angle impact driver. It's about the same size as an air ratchet and can yield 58 foot pounds of torque. I have a LOT of 1/4 " wobbly sockets for it.There are better ones!

  6. Hello Eric, another fan from New Zealand. I see you get plenty of comments re audio this video, hey the amount of work you do to educate the mass DIY people around the world is phenomenal and well  they obviously aren't true fans,  kudos for your hard work and hey getting close to one million subscribers? well enough said.  I have a 89 Mazda 626 I have worked on the last few years and your channel has saved me some serious dollars! The only reason I'm keeping it is for my son who was born in 1989 and well he's a muso and  is in  the States at the moment on a national tour so its a surprise ( I think ) keep up the good work
    Awesome

  9. Im Daniel C. and didn't want to go in too deep in the question asked but my issued had have been caused by the mechanics they did a brake job and had to fix them in 2000 miles and then the starter they sent me away with a bad starter and i never once told them i cant afford this or you need to make this as cheap as possible i just ask them to look at it tell me whats wrong and fix it and i pay every time but now they want more and more money and yet cant be trusted to do the job right or completely. anyone else have real suggestions. also this is a 1986 toyota pickup dlx with 89700 miles with yes body damage from rust but was under coated so frame and all is fine but these things that go wrong and are repaired poorly are not from where out they are from incompetence hence the original muffler was ripped off by road debris the replacement which was chosen after getting a 300 dollar quote for oem at monro muffler my mechanic said oh i can do it for only 225 don't go to monro so i thought hey lucky day and it rusted out and fell off that why i stoped going to him and then the brakes were fully repaired because my i failed to get a service done immediately after squeaks began and after 2 months the brake pad wore all the way down and fell out causing caliper to over extend and break out of housing my fault i paid but then the needed service for squeaking at all speeds 2000 miles later not my fault i don't think and i dont blame you eric for thinking im a problem cause you didnt know that i dont say do it cheap and fast so no quality i say here the problem whats the damage but i think we can all agree no one has money to throw away especially when the track record of the person getting the money is less than steller. thanks again though eric for your insites in to my potential starstruck status with my truck. also i am asking if 600 seems fair for that amount of work if that is the right service which you said yeah maybe it is. sooo i guess just as many second opinions as i can get.
