  1. Hello friends and thank you all for watching!

A minor change. I erroneously state that Android Compute Core was updated in Android 12. It was launched in Android 12 for the first time, but it was updated in a later beta. I got myself mixed up and read it wrong. That's my bad.

It is also true that I shot a good percentage of this on the final beta in advance. There was no discernible difference between the final beta and the real deal (the update was literally only 3.5MB in size). I promise you I would've reshot anything that looked different in the final version before uploading the video. I know most probably won't care (or notice lol), but I believe in transparency here.

For the Easter egg, if you set the clock to 12 o'clock exactly, it transitions to another, more decorative screen. Forgot about that. My bad!

Finally, I know the media switcher was in Android 11. It looks and acts slightly different now. It's a video about an entire OS, sometimes I miss a thing. Also my bad!

Otherwise, let me know any additional feedback in the comments! Thank you!

  2. All of these versions of stock Android, and the built-in "Music-FX" equalizer app never, I mean NEVER gets updated at all. WTF….all of the Research and development in updating the screen, camera, and software, and nothing for the audio at all??? I don't get it….

  3. Android 12 is ugly enough to make me think twice about my Huawei boycott. I'd rather have the CCP spying on me than have to look at UGLY mess that is the Android 12 UI!

  4. I feel like 12 broke my phone. I don't even want my phone anymore. The UI changes are soooooo ugly!
Look at your phone…the rounded corners, the hideous stuck-in-the-70s font, the GIANT, stupid clock widget…yeacch!!! This crap should have shipped with MUCH better control over UI settings. How this ever made it out of test is baffling. I'm already researching alternatives (I know, 'good luck!'). YECCCHHH!!!

  5. well, I guess android os will always remain ugly 🤷‍♂️

  6. Hey so quick question…I guess it's a no go for the Galaxy Z fold 3 or the Galaxy Z flip 3 phones on the update of android 12 One UI 4?

  7. Awesome video thanks! Just wondering why I can't change my styles anymore? Can't seem to change the color or the shape of the apps 🤔

  8. I still hate how they don't allow us to change the font colour of the widgets and icons on the homescreen.
The AI doesn't always pick the colour correctly and you end up with white text on a white background.

  9. Nice to still be able to hear Joe breaking down elements of Android. 👍🏾 So far, running smoothly on my Pixel 3 XL.

  10. The theming disappointed me, in the last Android version we got fonts, more accent colors and icon shapes. This just gives takes away options and instead leaves you with an extremely dull colour the os chooses from the background photo.

  11. you showed more than 5 times that Widgets now change colors,, I dont think thats what android needed. it needs to run smooth for more than 3 months.

  12. Downloaded it today and it's utter shit,
They say it's all about choice and personalisation but it is so prescriptive in its aesthetic. For example, the 11 clock was modern and worked with any style, however the 12 clock looks like it was made by a six year old and only works if you have a very specific style wallpaper. It works well is you want to have your phone look like a tech geeks not a normal person

  13. It's ok but the app drawer looks kinda ugly with the search bar being so bland, the time on the lock screen is an eye sore and unnecessarily big, and maybe I'm doing it wrong but material you basically has like 4 different theme colors for my wallpapers… All my black wallpapers give me either blue or green theme as an option…

  14. Is it only me, or is android auto no longer optimized? I used it in my truck this morning and everything is now distorted. This happened after the Android 12 update 🤔
