The people who thumbed this down… Get help. Or should I say children that have parental issues?
Kinda reminds me of miracle in lane 2.
It's super wonderful to see such a recovery! I have high intracranial pressure (idiopathic, aka no one knows the cause) and I was very lucky not to develop hydrocephalus, I was born with a connective tissue disorder (ehlers-danlos) and it lead to my dura tearing from the pressure, causing csf leaks, which ultimately released the excess fluid around my brain which stopped the pressure from getting high enough to cause hydrocephalus and finally convinced my doctors that I wasn't being dramatic when saying my headaches weren't normal, nor was the rapid deterioration of my vision.
I was told most people don't get high intracranial pressure diagnosed until they develop hydrocephalus and end up in the Emergency Room, which is just awful because the brain damage it results in was avoidable for all those cases. I'm aware of course there are many other ways to develop it, and in particular children that are born with it and I have great sympathy for them all, I really can't imagine how tough it is to deal with, especially for the kids. I feel like this little news segment should've explained the condition more because so many people have never heard of it or fully comprehend what it does to someone. Spreading awareness is important for such serious medical conditions, both for avoidance/quicker response time for treating it, and for people to have greater empathy when they encounter people who have gone through tough times like this kid.
He's very lucky having such wonderful and supportive parents â¤
i have the same issues. Hydrocephalus corrected by an endoscopic third ventriculostomy procedure and tethered spinal cord that has been corrected with surgery. its like spina bifida, but much less severe as my spinal cord was only tethered to the base of my spine at birth and not completely outside of the spinal column. I just passed my second semester of community college in may and currently hold a 3.5 GPA so theres hope for us out there. if it weren't for my mom an her diligent care i wouldn't be where i am now
I have spina bufanda hi my name is SOLEDAD
