  1. Cults are for people with too much time and money on their hands. Broke people busy are trying to make ends meet. People who are "flush" are looking for the highway to heaven. I would love to know the racial and economic breakdown of cult members across the board.
    At the end of the day, all religions are cults – some worse than others – almost all have women as the "B" team. I have no idea why otherwise intelligent women are religious.

These people are all "he shouldn't" do that and "I don't think it is right" But the fact remains that A) these people were willing, even if they didn't exactly want to and B) because of (A), it is NOT illegal. These girls took vows. They agreed to sacrifice. Their fault that they did not have common sense until afterward. Everyone is warned not to give in to peer pressure or not to listen to con men. They got themselves into this. I'm sure they didn't argue with the fact that NXIVM always paid their tickets and provided doctors and lawyers to their members.
