Facial recognition software has uses in law enforcement to catch bank robbers and identify child sex victims in pornography. No one is stealing your face or fingerprints or your humanity. There is already so much personal data out there that the market is flooded and it isn’t worth much to hackers. It is worth about $6/month to Facebook, who makes a business of selling user data to advertisers.
