A 2-year-old boy was injured after he sneaked past an airport counter and ended up on a baggage conveyor belt, according to his mother and airport officials.

The boy’s mother, Edith Vega, set him down for a moment on Monday afternoon to print out a boarding pass at a kiosk near the Spirit Airlines counter at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the toddler took off, Vega told ABC Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV.

  1. i remember a co passenger with hyper kids at the airport, and often i encounter the same parental characteristics from same nationality; they love their kids to romper around bus stations and airport and restaurant; probably it's cultural .. sorry

  2. That MASSIVE EXRAY machine you see him enter will shave many years off his life. My dog accidentally went through one, it was my fault. And a year later she was dying of skin cancer. That machine is like half a million chest X-rays at once. Google it.

  3. Glad it was nothing worse than a minor hand injury but I have to say, This kid is awesome! He actually did what others dream about doing.

  4. The belt was not activated when the child jumped on it and got it moving! It was already going when he approached it. That's what got his attention. Sec. 38.

  5. Parents already know the routines on airports, why not put their toddler in a stroller. How could you take your eyes off a two year old.
